10. Cotehele Christmas garland, throughout December
The famous 100ft flower garland displayed in the hall at National Trust’s Cotehele House is a labour of love for staff and volunteers who start working on it in November. Tens of thousands of flowers make up the spectacle each year, which is exhibited throughout December.
9. Porthminster Gallery Christmas showcase, throughout December
The Porthminster Gallery is located in the heart of St Ives, famous for its beaches, its unique natural light, and its artists. You’ll have plenty of gifts to choose from, whether you’re looking for something to delight a loved one or lift your home.
8. See Santa at Paradise Park, weekends throughout December, 12-2pm
An award-winning wildlife park in Hayle with over 650 birds and animals, Paradise Park offers plenty for the whole family to enjoy at any time of year. But at Christmas, Santa also makes an appearance in his grotto. Open on the first two weekends of December and then from Saturday 17th December right through until Christmas eve.

7. Heligan Christmas Lantern Night, Monday 5th & Monday 19th December, 5:30-9pm
Explore the historic Heligan Gardens by lantern at this free event. There will also be live choirs, fresh seasonal treats from the bakery, and a 10% discount in the shop where you’ll find plenty of gifts and local produce. Discover the lost jungle, brave the rickety rope bridge, and walk the Victorian trails, all by night light.
6. Victorian family Christmas at Lanhydrock, throughout December
Discover Lanhydrock House as it prepares for a sumptuous Christmas family feast. From the kitchens to the main table, you can follow the sights and smells as you go. Dressing up and Garden trails will keep kids entertained too.
5. Christmas singing at Truro Cathedral, Friday 9th December, 7:30pm
Enjoy an evening of stunning performances in the heart of Cornwall’s only city. Join in and add your voice to the carol singing and hear from speaker, Nick Guttmann of Christian Aid.
4. Mousehole Christmas Lights, from Saturday 17th December
The famous Mousehole Lights in West Cornwall attract thousands of visitors every year. The Christmas light displays floating in the water never fail to impress, and the streets are packed with festive smells and fresh food and gifts.
3. Santa at the Eden Project, throughout December
Santa and his elves take up residence at the world-famous Eden Project from early December, making and wrapping gifts, preparing the sleigh and sorting letters from the comfort of a large magical tent in the shadow of the biomes. Come and share in the magic of the season and help Santa spread a little Christmas cheer in this unique adventure.
2. Santa by Steam, Lappa Valley Railway
Board the Santa train and journey to the magical grotto. Tickets include a return ride on the steam train, entrance to the leisure park, woodland walks, toddler maze, rides on the woodland railway and magic tricks, humour and fun from entertainer, Harry Kazzam.

Experience the sights, sounds and smells of Christmas at the annual Padstow Christmas festival, held in the little seaside town in early December. Featuring demos from celebrity chefs, local produce, and handmade gifts and crafts, this event delivers everything you could need to get ready for the perfect Christmas.
