It has been announced by the BBC that hugely popular drama Poldark is to return for a third series.
Even before series two hits our screens (due to air this Autumn), fans are already celebrating that they will have more of Aidan Turner and Eleanor Tomlinson in a third series for 2017.
The remake of the popular 1970s drama first premiered on the BBC in 2015, to gushing reviews from critics and TV audiences.
Its popularity meant it pulled an audience of over 8.1 million over the course of the season, helping the BBC record its highest ratings in a decade.
But why do we at Ocean Blue love it so much?
Because much of it was filmed in Cornwall (and because it’s got Aidan Turner in it… but mostly the Cornwall thing) which has opened the county up to a much wider audience.
Poldark filming in Cornwall led to a boost in visitor numbers with 25% of visitors citing Poldark as the reason behind their visit in 2015!
