Scale the steep cliffs and bracing winds of the North coast to experience and wonder and legend of Tintagel Castle.
This October half-term introduces us to Victorian story-teller Florence, who will transport you from modern day to life in the 19th Century.
Lanhydrock House & Gardens, Bodmin
22-30 October
Take a peek behind the curtains at life in a beautiful Victorian mansion.
Follow the spooky clues around the gardens and win a prize, or bring the bikes and follow one of the cycle trails through the woods with the wind in your hair.
Trebah Gardens, nr Falmouth
27-28 October
Drop in for a Halloween workshop and perfect your pumpkin-carving skills. Entry is free for children (under 15) throughout half-term and you only need pay £4 for the workshop.
Lost Gardens of Heligan, near Mevagissey
22-30 October
Follow the spooky trail through the woods at the wonderful Lost Gardens of Heligan near Mevagissey.
Listen to spell-binding story-tellers as they weave their web of mystery and excitement by the open fire and join in with Halloween crafts.
Finish your day with a wander around the nearby Mevagissey harbour and tuck into Cornish fish and chips, straight out the paper, followed by an ice-cream.

Get ready for a Creepy Week of activities at Cornwall’s premier adventure park.

Spine-tingling rides, a spooky pumpkin trail through the Victorian village and spectacular fireworks in the evening.
Newquay Zoo
22-31 October
Meet the monkeys, zebras, penguins and lemurs at Cornwall’s only zoo, before hitting the reptile house and getting up close and personal with the creepy crawlies and night flyers in the tropical house.
The kids will love the spooky face-painting and may even be brave enough to attempt the ghoulish ghost hunt.
Lappa Valley Steam Railway, Newquay
22-30 October
Take the steam train through the lush woodlands and tunnels to Lappa Valley, where you’ll find loads of rides and fun for everyone. A fantastic day out.
Throughout half-term, your little ones can win prizes for colouring, following the spooky trail and being the best-dressed Halloween horror!
